Hello, my name is Steve Lewis and I have been a Wokingham resident for the past 15 years. I have been self employed since 2015 and operated a small but successful small removals and clearance company called Box Dropper Logistics.

Last year, looking at a post covid world and having worked at the sharp end all of the way through the covid crises, I made a big decision to step away from operating a 7 day a week heavy logistics and removals service as our core business. The reason for this was fairly straightforward, I had a heart attack on a job, had missed a prior heart attack and had open heart surgery in London. I made a promise to myself, my surgeon who rebuilt me and my wife that I would not give up, I would evolve the business and keep going. So here we are.

I love the job, I love clearance, I love the sift and the sort to source items to dispose, donate, recycle and sell. I like the haggling as well as long as its a win-win and I am proud of the fact that I developed a business years ago that allowed me to grow into antique sales venues in very well thought of establishments in Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey. I also like the feeling I feel when I get to donate objects to others, its quite humbling and I generally enjoy the company of my clients. Its not a job for everyone and miles away from the corporate and military hats I have worn in the past, but a yellow hard hat suits me at the tip !!
